Do you drive manual or automatic and which do you prefer? (1 Viewer)

I usually drive automatic but sometimes need to drive manual and I definitely prefer automatic. I don’t drive manual that often so I don’t have as much confidence in it as I should.

I heard that people say if you drive manual you can drive automatic for sure, but it's not always working the other way.
Here, you can have a driving license if you know how to drive manual. It's okay if you never drive a manual after that, but for the license, you need to know.
I prefer manual as I drive it every day.

Yeah knowing how to drive automatic is easier than manual, it makes sense to have manual for a test. Here you have to use the testing centers cards atm due to covid, which is an automatic, and I didn’t know how to drive manual until a year after I got my license.

I tried for over two years to pass my manual driving test but i failed, i panic too much i guess, i took the automatic test and pass without issues.

I think knowing how to drive a manual is always an advantage, but it's totally understandable that people choose automatic and feel more comfortable with it. Like, I love manual, but once the gear shift decided to die on me during my drive to work and other stuff can happen with a manual. lol

I have owned both and for personal driving prefer manual.

but for like family stuff an automatic is more convenient.

The worst is learning to drive manual in an opposite country(ie i am us so GB aust ect) and then go to the other.

After getting back from Australia i tried to shift the door handle ) ( and i was reading the speedometer as klicks so i was going a tad fast)
