Do you ever put your location on for safety reasons? (1 Viewer)

I have my Snapchat location on anytime I leave the house. I only have my closest friends on there and I will let certain people know where I plan to go so if they see me somewhere I shouldn’t be, they text me out of genuine concern.​

So I got model scouted while I was gone

and so the guy offered me a ride home cuz it was late (past 8 pm) and it was like 40 min - an hour away and super cold

and my phone was dying so I just shared location with my dad for an hour (I could set it for that specific time period) and texted him I was getting the ride home

I mean I didn't think he was creepy or I thought it would be fine but just in case

He did say stuff like if he was 20 he would chase after me, and asking if all the boys did and stuff because apparently I was "so gorgeous"

but we established he was older than my mom and I didn't think he was creepy so all good

he was nice

but yeah that was just in case

I also share location or trip status with my dad when I take an uber

I get easily lost

and also the first time I took an uber by myself the guy asked me for my number so he could show me around after asking if I had a boyfriend, how old I was (and finding out I was barely legal and my parents weren't here), why I didn't have a bf, etc. and I thought he wouldn't let me out of the car if I didn't give it so I gave my actual number instead of a fake one




and then was terrified for a week after because of it

My parents can see my phones location just in case. They don’t use it to snoop on what I’m doing, just if I’m gone much longer than expected or whatnot.

any time if someone says if I were x years young I'd date you or something it signals they don't have the purest intentions...
