Yeah, depends on the character development and relatability, it's a 50/50...really... I'm not found of good always prevailing I suppose reality has been that of the opposite and its nice to see that truth reflected if the bad guy wins sometimes, its realistic I suppose.

Always. everytime I watch an anime and the antagonist show up and just gorgeous. I forget all the bad things, they could be slaughtering innocent people and I still think they cool.

When i watch romance drama and the bad guy is all bad & good looking, i can't help but root for the female lead to fall in love with the evil guy, it only happened once though in a korean drama i watched and i love it tho i feel bad for the male lead who died in the end.

Sometimes, the "good" side isnt always the good one in my opinion, whereas the "evil" side is fighting for something I believe in. Doctor Who is good for this, it happens quite a bit sometimes.

I fucking hated Ramsay Bolton in GoT but... fuck he was such a good character that I wanted him to win just because I wanted him to stick around for longer!

Sometimes the villen has a point, or you just feel really bad for them. What makes a person good is a POV anyways.

Seirously you can't fault his intentions and the fact he's a victim as well.

In a Japanese Tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Gaim the villian makes a choice to try to end te lives of million and save a few in an option that seems like it's the only way to say the human race.

Sometimes villians are evil because they are trying to save or protect and it seems like the best course.

Can you blame Mistique from X-Men for her choices given her past?

but I should have explained what I meant in OP more clearly

In my mind a villain is not just someone who opposes the hero (antagonist vs protagonist), but someone of truly despicable character,
like Joffrey from GoT, or Gross from SnK, per example

Some times the villains plot is just too good and it should succeed.
