Do you find kpop hatred pervasive in your daily life? (1 Viewer)

Not counting randos on the internet because they hate everyone and everything.

I have a sibling who makes his dislike of kpop known, he clearly finds himself superior because he likes/liked artists like Led Zepplin. But I just don’t bring up kpop when we talk and that works out. My sister doesn’t like kpop that much either but does say it’s better than American pop so small win? I don’t find it super pervasive overall because I avoid convos about it with the haters is the result ig

no, not really. that's because irl i don't really make it known i'm a kpop fan, hahah. most of my friends know, and they're either cool w it, or they're fans themselves (which is great cause we have lots of kpop related discussions which is fun)

it used to be when hating on kpop (specifically bts) in the US was trendy almost lol
but now its become such an insignificant part of my life, that it almost never even comes up even. lots of people don't know i listen to kpop. either way, seeing someone hate on it now doesn't even phase me, i just know they're insecure and have a small pp if they think hating on music makes any sense.

After over 10 years of loving kpop, my family does not care. Actually my mom keeps repeating herself by saying ''You liked kpop before it went mainstream, people thought you were weird and some even bullied you.'' Yep time has changed. I got my boyfriend into kpop, he's always looking forward to me spamming him with new releases haha. It's just my best friend who doesn't like kpop, he said ''I'll never listen to it'' which is fine. He never disrespected me for liking the genre and I understand his hatred for the fandom.

Not really. They're all cool with it, and my mom even says she prefers K-pop to most of today's Western music.
