I'm still on my driver's permit. I'm actually taking the test for my driver's license in an hour. Pray for me

I’m fine enough on roads but once it gets busy I shut down and freak out

Yes I have my license and a car. I haven’t taken a bus in years and I’m so impatient that waiting for the bus and do my things based on their schedules was a pain for me. So much more freedom now.

I've held my drivers licence for 10 years now without any crashes. I've also undergone additional advanced training which allows me to operate a fire engine at high speeds with the use of blue lights and sirens when responding to an emergency.

I had gone to DMV to get just a regular Identification card (not a Driver's License) and they must have screwed up, because not only did they send me a Driver's License, but the expiration date is just under four decades away (2058). I'm sure everyone who is or has taken the Driver's test hates me right now... lol

But like @notthatmarko I am also Epileptic and the requirements, where I live, are to have gone without a seizure of a period of 5 years before one is permitted to drive. Since I have had a seizure in 2019, I refuse to drive. My city is in the process of building on its current public transportation that would allow one to travel from one city to another fairly quickly, so I don't really need to drive when I very rarely leave my suburb.

Welcome to KS! And omg, 5 years? I have to be only 1 year without seizures, and it's been almost two years since my last seizure. But I still have no need for a car.
