I have two I remember from childhood. I like them for different reasons

Spoiler: Worm poem

An Early worm got out of bed
and murmered, "I feel mean!
I'll put my darkest glasses on,
I'll paint myself bright green.

"I'll dress up in my wildest wig,
the one with purple bangs,
I'll also wear a pair of horns
and artificial fangs."

That early worm poked up its head,
which looked a perfect fright,
and early bird observed that worm,
and lost its appetite.

Spoiler: Dragon poem

I chased a dragon through the woods,
haranguing him all day.
"I'll catch you soon!" I taunted.
"You can never get away.

There's no escaping me, my friend,"
I confidently cried.
"You might as well stop running,
there is nowhere you can hide."

"I think that I will simply lop
your head off with my sword."
The dragon stopped and whirled about
and ominously roared.

"You'd better think again," he boomed,
and glared into my eyes.
"In case you hadn't noticed,
I'm a dozen times your size.

It's evident that I'd prevail
if ever we should fight,
I'm quite accomplished with my claws,
and furthermore, I bite!"

I thought about the dragons words,
and I couldn't disagree-
I chased a dragon through the woods,
and now he's chasing me.

Yesterday, upon the stair
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away

When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn't see him there at all

Go away, go away, don't you come back anymore
Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door

Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away

I think nursery rhymes count as poems in a way. Poems just tend to be used more for those aimed for not complete babies and often have more meaning, while a nursery rhyme focuses on rhythm and flow while words can be more nonsensical. That’s what 2 seconds of google seems to say

I always thought a nursery rhyme was sung, or was at least more sing-song than a poem.

So more lyrical than rhythmic exactly.

I don’t think that’s a requirement, but it is more common with nursery rhymes than poems for sure, since the focus is more on rhythm/sing along ability and repetition.

I forgot all the poems I read when I was younger but I found this one and I like it and it's about cats too so

Ang Aking Alaga (My Pet)
Ako ay may alaga (I have a pet)
Masipag manguli ng daga (Who works hard to catch a mouse)
Binibigyan ko siya ng isda (I give him/her fish)
Siya ang mahal kong pusa (He/she is my beloved cat)
