I'm just curious about who has a short attention span and who doesn't. Personally, I have a short attention span but it's not severe though. For example, I'll work on school work for about 50 minutes and then I get distracted and I watch YouTube for 10 minutes and then I remember I have to work and the cycle repeats itself until I'm done working.

I would be happy if I was like that I get more easily distracted and have a harder time to refocus

I was diagnosed by a specialist and 4 other doctors with ADD when I was 11. Initially the teachers thought I had a hearing disability, because I'd be looking right at them while they were talking, they'd ask me a question, and I'd be like... "Huh? What?!"

Much better as an adult. But grade school and high school were a nightmare. I took Ritalin in grade 10 and grade 11 and I ended up getting the math award and accounting awards. I do much better when I'm paying attention.

I hate stimulants though and haven't taken them since.

Luckily I got a job in something I'm really interested in, so focusing is never an issue.

Well yes, I have adhd and as early as preschool I was put in a special class and had the school calling my mom bc I couldn’t focus or pay attention and had too much energy to nap at nap time…
