I think it’s kinda uncommon, but there is a popular book character who almost has the same name as me and people always think that’s my name lol

Since I already let slip it’s very similar to oishi on @Moguri thread ig it doesn’t hurt to say … they skip the first “I” like pronounce ōshi like rhyming with yoshi instead of Oi-shi

yeah I guess I’m more understanding since I don’t always remember how people say how to pronounce their name so I’d try to make sure

I have “two names” like in my culture it’s a thing (one is just used my family and family friends and usually gibberish instead of an actual name) but it’s much easier to pronounce and mine is an actual name so I’d wish that was my legal name in the past

Well it was also a name of a song my dad liked (probably gave it away there but oh well) And my middle name is based off an actress in a very popular movie. So I wasn’t named based on my origins, but for pop culture reasons.

What if we are both actually goddesses?

I don’t know old songs named after welsh girls (old cuz it’s older than us)

I’m not but I’d like to portray the ideals she represents

My first name was the 6th most common first name the year I was born and is still close to the top 200.
My middle name is still one of the five most commonly used middle names for girls in the US.
My last name is the in the top 50 last names in the US.

In other words, much as I wish my name was uncommon, it's not.
