Do you have any mathematical formulas/equations memorized? (1 Viewer)

I know, it seems like a weird question but I had to memorize the quadratic formula in 9th grade and I still remember it to this day. We had to sing a song in order to memorize it, and our teacher made us sing it out loud every time someone forgot it, and I guess the strategy worked.

I don't have special characters (like the square root symbol) but in case you don't know, the quadratic formula looks like this:
x = (-b +/- sqr((b^2)-4ac))/2a

So, do you have any formulas memorized? The ones that I can think of at the moment is the quadratic formula and the Pythagorean theorem (a^2+b^2=c^2)

As a math/science/CS major i have many :)

i would think many have A^2+ B^2 = C^2 as well.

The Pythagorean Theorem, for one - but probably (most?) everybody like twelve and over knows that. lol

And btw I was totally going to show y'all this really cool formula for finding angle of direction, but I just wracked my brain for like ten, twenty minutes tryna put it in layman's terms and just gave up. lol (it's precalculus, so...)

I think most people struggle because of how math is taught. Same with History another subject i love.

They just shove concepts at ya and make ya remember thru rote memorization.

i think the point of math(and the other 2 ) is that most problems have a solution ya just need to learn to ask the right questions and think sequentially.

Every day there are problems in life, math can provide a foundation to you so that they can be broken down and made less overwhelming.
its a tool to make life easier not a weapon to make life harder.

not really now that i think about it i know the a² + b² = c² but i never use it anyway. maths just is not one of my strongest points in general i guess
