Maybe i should give the songs a listen, I actually don't remember what Dynamite sounds like only one I somewhat know is Ari's and Gaga's. And Gaga had better songs in the album (her bsides were so much better than her titles).

deserve is a weird word, when people use that word I feel like there's a whole other connotation behind it.

if bts won that grammy then they would be deserving of it, if were going off of their hard work. but in terms of song quality, I personally think it's kinda disappointing that dynamite got nominated out of all the other great songs they have. boy with luv would have actually been a better choice if it came out this year instead of last year.

songs like rain on me in terms of musical quality should get the grammy in my opinion.

No, but it will get it because they paid to play. The Grammys are known to be shady as hell and it says everything that major artists continue to call them out for their racism and xenophobia as well as questionable practices. The Weeknd, Zayn, Nicki Minaj, all have denounced their treatment by the recording academy. Dynamite is typical pop garbage. It's English word salad over a catchy instrumental, which is why they'll give it a win. There's a reason BTS isn't nominated for any album awards, nor any of the main awards.

Honestly people A. need to stop thinking the Grammys are any sort of reputable awards show, because they're literally no different than the MAMAs or any other awards show, and B. stop acting like it's an absolute honor to be given an award that is basically a participation trophy for overplayed pop songs. The Grammys aren't any more legit than any other show, they just have a bigger budget and better branding.

I'm reminded of what RM said in an interview with Time in 2019, that if BTS released a song in English and started changing things to make it to the top, it wouldn't be the genuine them. Yet they turned around and released an English song just over a year after that interview. The hard truth is they wouldn't be nominated as a group had they not released an all-English track. More than a little hypocritical.
