I hate it and I have some coming over Friday . Granted it’s for my dresses. All my aunts come back from India. And by all I mean all. They ALL wanted to fly into jfk and now I gotta deal with the satan cult.

I have to stock up extra on food that might or might not be eaten. My apartment gets judged by the smallest of cobweb in the corner of the highest part of the ceiling. Not to mention, idk if you all have heard indian aunties but at a certain age they all develop this high pitch nasal voice. >.> it’s annoying.
And I have a dog so more apartment scrutiny about the chewed up furniture legs and table from his teething phase.

OH and they just completed some spiritual retreat. So I’m gonna be told how unspiritual I am and how much I need to bless my apartment because baba ram dev said so.​

My grandparents lived with us so everyone came to my house. (And then I moved out and avoided most of those gathering )

but now I’m the only left near the area with my grandma and their place has a lot of old people contraptions for safety. Plus you never wanna overwhelm the grandma.

So I gotta host because my fam doesn’t believe in hotels. Rip my ezpass too.

I can’t say much about this we don’t really have get togethers in our apartment much. We would get like a visit from my mom’s friend (who is nice), but it usually to pick up some stuff my mom ordered for her at Macy’s

The last time we had a small family get together at my apartment was when my older half brother was visiting NJ with his wife and nephew (same age as me) with my aunt and uncle. In return, we had dinner at their house a few days later (yes, they gave us ride to and from their house). And that was like 12 years ago

I dont have ppl stay over for an awfully long time. since mine was the house with no extra beds( i used to have 2 extra but i killed em ) but after the remodel i will have an extra full bed.

but i used to host game nights ect.

and may get back to that.

son i dont mind short visits. heck every one of my siblings in town has keys so i am pretty chill.

No, especially because my dog doesn’t like new people and will growl and attempt to bite sometimes even. It was only one time that she tried to bite but that’s one time too many.

I personally don’t like it no, but my mom loves hosting things at our house It’s just that two of our dogs have to be locked up because one is too hyper for lots of people and the other will bark her head off the entire time. We also have cats and for some reason people don’t close doors behind them and I’m always terrified one of my babies are gonna get out and get lost. It’s also just no fun because your expected to be social in those situations.

He gets very jumpy and hyper to the first five minutes and barks when he thinks people are leaving him. Plus the whole leaving doors open o.o and then he magically gets access to the bathroom trash Or worse, leaves the apartment in search of endless treats.

I never understand people leaving open doors, it might just be how I was raised but we were always taught it was disrespectful.

not at all 😭 my family was the only one in our entireee family to have an apartment for the past 15 years, so we never hosted anything. and we have a house now so we try to host stuff but there are just too many people to fit in here. and also ever since covid happened i get super paranoid about people coming over now bc like what if they like. unknowingly spread something ..

Usually I don't like anyone coming over... I just enjoy the time being on my own. There are only a few people I don't mind coming over like my best friend
