I've made it for myself once. But I typically buy it. Although when I buy it, it doesn't have as much of the green vegetable in your picture.

Oops, i rushed my reply: i forgot tats the typical soup in asia(not sure if its sold much here<either version>, its spinach egg drop soup- ur answer reminded me of this; which usually is a side dish n my moms made it with lots of veg <which i love>

I think outside asia(unless ur asian n/or cook it at home) the above version would be typical type u come across. Maybe with veg if its a non-localised chinese joint.(idk iv nvr been to us, n the chinese restaurants i went to overseas were typically suited to asian tastes. Not tat i ever ate spinach egg drop soup overseas)

It didn't taste like it had noodles in it. I haven't really had it since I lived where I used to and that was in a rural area. I don't count the soup I get from fast food Chinese chains like Panda Express because a lot of the food tend to be less authentic. But where I first had Egg Drop Soup was a Chinese restaurant that was local.
