do you play horror games or do you just watch playthroughs? (1 Viewer)

I prefer just watching playthoughs i get too scared to just play em myself so I let other people suffer while I watch it in the safety behind my screen

I'll only watch lets plays of horror games if the person playing has comical scared features... Like Markiplier... or if there are common moments that people get weirded out over such as in Skyrim in Bleak Falls Barrow where a massive Tarantula descends from the ceiling and people have aneurysms from seeing it.

I'm currently playing through Resident Evil Village (my first Resident game).

I don't usually play horrors but after seeing a bit of gameplay for Village I had to check it out. I love. And it's kinda opened a new genre up to me as I love the feeling of apprehension I get whilst playing the game. Who knew scaring your self sh*tless could be so fun.

I like watching walkthroughs. Actually i like watching people who don't get too scared and instead make jokes about it i mean watching someone scream can be entertaining too but it also makes the game more nerve wracking.

aaaaah i hope you try out some of the other resident evil titles. its one of my favorite game series!! my personal favorite resident evil is the remake of the first game. silent hill is also highly recommended by me if you enjoy them (but.... there are many games in the series id say to avoid) if you're (or anyone reading) interested in more details feel free to DM me

day 3 on this forum and ive talked about horror games twice so... yeah im a horror game fan. i started out watching playthroughs of them 10 years ago. the only horror games i played back then were the RPG maker ones lmao... (which even still, they can be pretty dang good)

about 6 years ago now my boyfriend made me play some resident evil games and silent hill and, now im in love! jumpscares rarely scare me anymore and honestly... if a game's horror is mostly jumpscare oriented, its almost automatically going to be a bad horror game in my opinion.

i love the old rpg ones, they're the few ill actually play. i love corpse party: book of shadows, ib, mad father, witches house, etc.

I enjoy them generally, if i feel they're good enough or i'm interested enough or my computer can run them, i'd always prefer to play them myself, but i also enjoy watching them if i don't know much about them/aren't hyped or too interested in it. I thoroughly enjoy well done horror stories overall honestly and even more so in games, as rare as they are. And just in general well designed and creative horror games.

Recently enjoyed Jacksepticeye play through RE: Village, if only it had a bit more depth to it in some parts it would've been in my top 3 Resi games easily, it was so fun overall and such a nice journey. Also played the World of Horror demo recently, a Junji Ito/HP Lovecraft inspired roguelike horror visual novel, snatched the f outta my wig,.

Rpg maker horror games h e l l y e s (speaking of which i started watching Omori just a few days ago, actually). It's not as much horror as it is horror themed but have you played Corpse Party? the game, the anime doesn't exist for me or any fan for that matter sdfsdfgsdfg funny enough as heavy as it is it's how i got my girlfriend into horror and now she's even more into it than me so :)))) lmaoo

ive never played corpse party for myself (id totally be willing to) but it was one of those games ive watched other people play
