or do you get it the day it comes out? I'm not talking physical albums - I mean more like digital music.

I usually wait til it's out so I can listen to it in full and see if I like it

yeah, I have to listen to the whole thing or set myself up for disappointment. Learned that lesson the hard way when I heard Saying Sorry by Hawthorne Heights on top 40 radio and then bought the album... apparently it was the ONLY song they didn't scream on. lol

Right!! There are way too many albums where the only good song is the title.

And to be fair, there are lots of albums too where the title is the only one that sucks. But that's why I want to be able to hear them all first! The little "track spoiler" thing companies do these days doesn't work for me either, because they seem to be trying to capture the most interesting 5-10 seconds of the song, which isn't always representative of the song as a whole.

bc when you preorder, it comes with the tracks that are already out, and then the platform releases the rest of the tracks as they come

What do you lose by waiting though? I get it one or two are our that you want them right then, but it’s not long to wait and you don’t lose anything more right?
