No, but love songs and K-dramas use such repititive words and sentences sometimes that you end up understanding a good portion.

I can read hangul, understanding is a lot more hit or miss, usually miss.

same. I learned it in like a couple days.. but I'm amazed at the fact that I still remember it. lol.. but I think I know enough vocab to understand several words in a drama without subs. Hangul definitely helps when talking about idols though. Romanization for Korean is the worst thing since Kanye West.
