I used to when I first got into K-pop, but not so much anymore. I still struggle with some, though, like Myoui (Twice Mina's last name) and Eui-Woong (Tempest Lew's real name).

I don't struggle with most but when they look similar but sound different I definitely get confused...like Sieun and Seeun like wtf?

I used to have trouble rolling my R’s, but now I’ve heard them so many times I’m not so bad.

Learning the hangul alphabet is really helpful. For example Junmyeon, Joonmyeon and Junmyun make your brain think they’re pronounced differently, but the hangul for all three is 준면.

Korean is romanised is lots of weird ways so it’s no surprise a lot of non-Koreans struggle with the name. Take common Korean surnames for example, basically every one is pronounced differently to how it is written:

Kim = Gim
Lee = “E”
Park = Bak
Choi = Chweh
Kwon = Gwon
Yim = im

The Chinese names often catch me out before I can see it in Hangul. I was calling Yuqi “Yoo-ki”, until I saw in Korean it’s “Woogi” (우기) (which in itself is pronounced “oogi” (the “W” is silent))

this. cheng xiao = seong so (성소) still confuses me. though it's a little better once you learn how cheng xiao is pronounced in chinese - the cheng is pronounced more like "chung" (think: chung ha)

As a Korean, for Korean idols' names, no.

But, if there are foreigners in the groups, and I discover their birth names by researching, then yes, I do struggle pronouncing them.

Lol i tend to go with how ever i read it until i hear it enough from them to over write.
for example i still read Yuqi as Yoo ki as above :)
