My rule for Kpop generations is that a new generation starts when the majority of the oldest members of new groups are younger than the majority of maknaes of previous groups.

I disagree with the current timeline, because most people seem to lump Stray Kids and (G)I-DLE into 4th gen, and I don't think they fit there. 2018 debuts are in 3rd gen in my mind.

I couldn't tell you. I got in to Kpop during 3rd gen.

So I don't know when the generation definition started.
