I echo all other replies. It's not totally necessary, but it is a plus when at least one of the members is fluent. Yeonjun speaks English? Marvelous! Jin mainly speaks Korean and isn't very good with English? Great! So in short, it doesn't really matter how fluent they are, as long as they release good music (and maybe have English subs on their videos lol).

nope, it helps if one or two members are fluent to help when they go abroad or whatever, but its not a necessity as translates exist for a reason and it is rather unfair to have the few English speaking members translate when its a whole ass job title for some people
