Which group do you think had more male fans?

Both groups were known for their huge female fanbase. They both obviously had a lot of male fans also cause of Krystal and Sulli and Irene and Joy.

I think f(x) was more popular with males though. Cause in 2011 f(x) beat SNSD as the Military favorite girl group. I dont think Red Velvet ever accomplished this. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Well both fanbase are female dominated.
RV may have been #1 in 15 or 16 i think they were actually really close with twice/gfriend/aoa for some time.

I think you're right but I find it a little funny that f(x) would have more male fans since SM tend to give RV concepts that you would think would be more appealing to the male gaze whereas f(x) were very eccentric and more unapologetic in their weirdness than RV have been...

Agreed. Red Velvet could be very weird also but they also were very sexy without effort.

I have not been to a fx event but the fanchants seem very female.
RV i have been to 9 events.
6 in korea and 3 in the us.

in korea say 65/35 (rare enough that event staff recognized me on following days :) ) and a chunk very young i would say 11/12 thru high school int age with older friends mostly. The us was about the same but much older. lots of 20 +

unlike say IZ*one what was well over that split the other way. say 70/ 30 m/f at least for the 3 shows in Korea

in Korea its cool and fun the fans do not care or are impressed. In fact i have had Kids approach me to hang out with me for the whole day call thier moms say they found a friend ect.
In the US i am looked at as a sociopath by some :)
But as you say i long ago gave up caring what people think, Particularly folks who project their hang ups on the world.

al though events in Korea are at least 4-5 times more fun/energy.

Americans are just to done with life to have fun and a good chunk of the kids are more concerned about how inclusive they are .
When in fact they are the opposite.

Miami was interesting since they had an open bar at the show lol for half the audience, kinda like Tiffany's which was in a bar with a no drink section (lol which was closer to the stage....)
Sone were much older and far more talkative and willing to interact.

I personally think it’s about the same. there are a ton of similarities but f(x) might have more male fans since Krystal always seemed like a male magnet when it came to fans

Im just guessing, f(x) w/Krystal n Sulli but RV w/Irene n Joy id say RV had/has more male fans, also RV has Wendy n Seulgi, but f(x) had Amber n Luna who arent male magnets in Korea. Again im guessing, but i love them both as Soshi's little sister groups. (I guess i love Krystal n Irene[only since the subunit] the most but tats just me.)
