Interesting that Red Velvet is still so high when they haven't been active as a group, unless I'm missing something. I just looked it up and Cosmic came out in August 2024 so they didn't have a comeback in 2025 as a full group.

I googled what factored in again, because I remember reading once that sometimes inactive groups linger for a long time because of one or a few members still being largely associated with the group and being very active in some way.

Google says, this is what weighs in:

1. Participation Index (Active Engagement) - Projects and visibility (concerts, fan meets, TV appearances, etc).
2. Communication Index (Social Media Buzz) - How much presence idol has online. If idol is active on social media and generates high engagement, this goes up. Includes company social media mention.
3. Community Index (Fan Discussions) How much fans and the public talk about the idol in online communities
4. Media Index (News Coverage) - idol's presence in formal media outlets
