I thought the song was just good on first listen coz I always do it without subs on, to appreciate the MV lol.
Once I took a look at the lyrics and listened to it a few more times, I started to really love it

I also like how despite the lyrics being serious and even kinda sad, the overall tone of the song is pretty upbeat. You could make like a slow ballad out of such lyrics but they still kept it kinda electropop which is nice.

Same, I never have subtitles on for kpop songs, so I'm glad I found this.

I think this is one of those songs that has a really bittersweet tone. Parts are happy, parts are sad, parts are neutral. And the chorus fits really well. It's a big hit for me musically as well.

Lol same, I just wanna experience the song and MV as it is, without having to read the subs at the same time. And it was a good decision coz that made me appreciate these visuals and aesthetics so much
Bittersweet is the right word, I read somewhere that JYP talked to the girls and listened to their personal thoughts/feelings to write something more personal, and it really seems very personal.

also JYP talked about the kinda of feelings the song would have
and all of this got me with the hype even to see the message of the song, and I was not disappointed the song the mv is a perfect 10/10 and the lyrics got me crying it's so beautiful
I am very impressed by TWICE releasing such a meaningful song as title track, they always show bright feelings and happy vibes in their songs/MVs and this song is upbeat and have a nice/positive message but it was so much more deep than just "happy", this song is just... I guess everyone said what it had to be said, it's about feelings, overcoming negative moments, dealing with yourself and how you feel but also with someone to help you someone you can trust making you feel special and IDK dude that hit me so hard because usually title tracks have more fun lyrics and I love that too, I love "fun" lyrics like signal it is just so fun, but this is so different and I wasn't expecting such an important message as a title track, it's so brave so unique. It is so important that TWICE are so close to each other and so close to their fans at some point they wanna talk everything out

I hvnt watched the explaining[Edited] video but watched the mv last night (my, S.E.A. time) n thot the lyrics were quite personally related to the members, especially Mina, so I'm glad that part of it I was right abt. I really like Twice even more now.
