For the Red Summer era stans - Why can you not get into Summer Magic? (1 Viewer)

They have two summer albums, Red Summer and Summer Magic, but why do you think "Red Summer > Summer Magic"

Does Red Flavor feel more summery than Summer Magic to you? To me Summer Magic feels like an era forcing itself to be summer with the title "Power Up" whereas to me "Red Flavor" is organically with it's summery vibe.

i think red flavor is just a better song. it's funny that the mv isn't anywhere near as summery as power up's mv but it doesn't make a difference.

but i agree with how you put it too. like the red summer bsides are all summer themed. even the ballad. but i don't really feel that with summer magic

I love both eras with a slight preference for the Red Summer era because of Red Flavor, Zoo and You better know.

why? did they start with power up/other bsides?
like i don't get summer vibes from songs like mr. e. they tried to add the bird sounds like zoo but it doesn't fit imo. but im definitely influenced by the fact that i only like blue lemonade and power up took me a few listens to get into.

They preformed the songs in concert before they released them i was there on summer vacation, and it was a summery set ect so they have always felt summery to me.

Red Flavour era is what got me into Red Velvet so it's always been a special album to me. I also prefer RF to Power Up although both are good ^^

I personally love both era's alot. Red Flavor is just hard to top so I get why people may like it more.

I like both albums, but with Red Summer I feel like I can play the album all the way through, whilst with Summer Magic it isn’t as cohesive. Power Up also sounds better in Japanese to me. I have Joy’s version of Summer Magic though and its probably the most adorable album I own.

Boring song, bsides are boring, less iconic styling, and kindergarten music at its finest. The album is wayy prettier than red summer though
