If it was Pledis as a rumour I saw had Nu'est and Pledis apparently planning out a big 10th anniversary comeback that instead ended up being their final comeback but ultimate one of those things where the truth is unlikely to ever come out

seems to be on brand for both pledis and HYBE with the purchased groups at the very least.

I'm honestly confused what Hybes criteria to consider a group a success is as disbanding a girl group that sold around 90k and a boy group that sold over 200k is quite concerning since it seems they want only the very very top amount of sales which even SM don't do only that.

Maybe its success in America and Korea is an after thought. Which seems either super short sighted or smart with the demographic changes in Korea.

For long term it could be a smart idea however not everywhere is open right now due to the pandemic so I don't think it's the best time to go all in on that strategy
