Deserved. It's such a good movie and soundrack all around, I'm glad to see everyone rise. I'm guessing the writers are all getting a lot of interest, which just means more good music for us.

Also, I'm just really happy for Kevin Woo to be able to be involved in this. If you know U-KISS, you know they busted their ass for YEARS. When Kevin was with them, they released 36 singles, and never managed a music show win. So to have him be part of something so great and get his flowers too is really nice.

Golden is amazing. i actual went over to my sisters to watch KDH with a niece. ( I don't not buy any streaming aside from what is included in prime and i don't use that)

Ordinary just sounds like the painfully mid song that was created to be overplayed at weddings and if it had stayed in its lane, it would have been fine. It should never have held on at #1 for 9 weeks, much less basically camped out in the top 10 for its almost entire 26-week run so far, and in general, is representative of the absolute stagnation of music in the American pop scene.

I'm sure he's perfectly nice though.

if that's the case then i'm so jealous musical-wise of you guys based in the US because in poland the pop music is so shit that when ordinary comes on the radio i'm like that "finally some good fucking food" gordon ramsay meme. but i get it, because the other overplayed white guy pop song - mystical magical by benson boone - absolutely grinds my gears. i cannot imagine anyone streaming that song in their free time.

Right? It's just a lot of stagnant, mostly depressing songs for a LONG time. Die With a Smile has held in the top 10 for 51 weeks, and only just got bumped down this week to #12. Lose Control has been there for 102 weeks. Morgan Wallen has two songs in the top 10 right now, and if you look at the chart as a whole, we've had to listen to his moody ass for more than a year. Boone's Beautiful Things is still holding on after 80 weeks in the top 20. I feel like that's the only reason why Shaboozey's Bar Song has held on as long as it has... people want at least one boppy song.

So Ordinary isn't the worst offender, but the fact that it's blocked new and fresh music along with the rest of the old guard for so long... it's nice to see it get bumped down lol. Hopefully Chappell Roan will overtake it next week and we'll have girls in the top two.

that is a question that will probably never been answered since it is very subjective...

you are entitled to that opinion my friend and obviously there is very good reasons why one would have that opinion

for a group to be kpop I generally tend to vie on the side of there must be some connection to SK
first and foremost is if the person(s) undertook training within SK - so many idols discuss their trainee years and it's almost like a right of passage for them
if not training in SK then some greater connection to SK is required (to me it's a combination of factors not just a single one)
is the producer Korean?
is the production company from SK
does the group promote in SK (predominately) - obviously what is predominately is subjective...
