Pretty sure the terms & conditions when you signep for KS you gave permission for such shenanigans like user awards and such. If not you can always decline such awards (n the ignominy tat comes with it) i did send a wish not to be given/thought of for sthg else bit tat might or might not be lapsed, since i got it once later on(i think) anyway.

But u hv to be pro-active BEFORE the possibility comes up, as in say you wish not to be nominated beforehand n would decline if nominated/got enuf votes to receive the award n concomitant tombstane/Banner LOL

doing this after is like will smith winning best actor AND THEN AFTER TAT slapping chris rock because he made fun of how you hold the Oscar trophy or sthg. If u dont want the banner, dont be eligible/shut it down BEFORE u r on hiatus for xmas/family/holiday revels LOL just my opinion

Accepting the award without the banner is like Marlon Brando accepting the Oscar trophy without condemning the deplorable treatment of indigenous peoples east of Pacific and west of Atalntic.
