I know its a running joke that accounting is boring but guys this law shit is horrible. I'm taking my first business law class and this shit makes me want to do unspeakable things. ITS SO BORING like... I want to pull my hair out. I literally have a lot of fun in my accounting class this shit sucks so bad

I disagree but I read supreme court decisions for fun soooo my opinion is flawed. It's helpful when you think of the law as a weapon. Then it becomes fun when you use it to scare people. I'm the human resources equivilent of a nightmare.

Text books are hard, thats why I read actual court opinions. Lawers don't refer to text books, they read what the court actually writes. Reading the laws is less important than reading and understand how the court interprets that law. I guess what I can suggest is when you read your text book think of yourself as a lawyer and how you would apply what you read in an actual case. Remember, you have to use what the book says to convince a judge or jury your interpretation is correct.

tbh if you memorize all the weird laws for entertainment it gets interesting pretty quick

or study up on all the laws so you can go ultra petty mode on your enemies

Everyone thinks that they'll become this uber successful lawyer, but if you don't go to an elite law school you'll be stuck as a public defendant and get thousands to tens of thousands of cases to manage every year all with the salary barely above the national median income. Also, enjoy paying off the $250K in debt with a 6% interest rate on your $60K salary if you study in the USA.
