So apparently it's garba, which I didn't know about, I learned from my brother today

It's apparently a Gujarati dance festival

I have no idea, I'm not Gujarati and I never celebrated but I hope it is

My favorite time of the year. I always go to Garba. It's so much fun. And then once it's over you feel like you've been hit by a truck x.x
Garba is a dance. Navrati is the festival we're celebrating. So actually it's Happy Navrati
I know it's celebrated differently throughout the different cultures.

For Gujjus, yeah we're known for celebrating the festival dancing throughout the night till our feet bleed. It's fun to dance without shoes but once I got blisters so bad from a horrible gym floor, a thick layer of skin was removed x.x Took a month for my feet to get better.

But it hasnt technically started yet. Starts October 3. In Gujarat, they can do this for the 9 nights straight since everyone celebrates.
But in the America we only have the weekends free so garba events will pop up for several weekends lasting close to a month.
And then right after, Diwali week comes XD so more dancing and festivals. My cousin went to garba just yesterday. I'm waiting till the free ones open.

I love this time of year so much. So much sheero and kachori and festival foods. I LOVE IT!!!
