I’m a weirdo who likes my books to look “well read” after I’ve finished with them, so paperbacks, with creased spines, dog-eared pages and scribbled notes in the margins. When I have a hardback I take too much care trying to keep it nice, but with a paperback I can throw caution to the wind

hardcover is nice if you want to build a neat collection, but i love when books look like they have some history, with creasing and little notes and doodles and whatever, so for that reason i prefer paperback

I have many of each, but i will look for hard cover first . super old like 40-60's paperback ill pick up just cuz they are old :) ( titles i like ofc )

if i am not sure about a new book or author ill go paper its easier for me to give that to the library or goodwill.

I love both, but since I moved to Germany, I learned to appreciate paperbacks
Paperbacks here are in a better quality, the paper is way thicker
