Idk if it counts as rejection, but back in middle school I was crushing on this boy who (I think looking back on it now probably liked me too because he was always smiling and joking with me often) stopped talking to me after I accidentally got paint on his white shorts during art class. I think I was flirting and in doing so ended my chances.
