All the time. More specifically in elementary school where I had to convince my classmates I was not the "shy girl." It was exhausting

Whenever I tried to be my fangirly, happy go lucky self, they put me down, so I had to pretend to be all apathetic and dark and gloomy and shit. I eventually left anyway when somebody sent me a dt for listening to Simple Plan.

yes and no at the same time, i mean how much of myself i show to people just depends on how much we know each other. am i going go tell a classmate i see twice a month about my over-the-top parasocial admiration of a certain gameshow host? probably not. but i won't be making up a whole new personality, that would be exhausting to keep up with.

That was exactly me growing up. I always felt like I had to tell jokes talk nonstop so I can get people to like me. Now I honestly keep to myself and rarely initiate

I know how tiring that can be. had that happen on stan twitter where everybody was just negative and starting fights.
