Yes. As long as your dentist gives you strong enough medication you’ll be good, without it or with very little it is quite painful. It does hurt like crazy to brush your teeth though. But I promise it heals pretty quickly, at least mine did.

I've had all four of mine out. Three came out easily; the fourth one grew in sideways and had to be cut out. My dentist at the time only used local anesthesia, and this was before it was discovered that people with Celtic ancestry need more anesthesia. I had mine done in the morning and was able to eat a scrambled-egg sandwich at dinner time.

@Juniverse are you still scared by Chirpsy's comment about the nerve damage? bc while it is possible, it's extremely rare, and of all the wisdom teeth extraction stories I've heard, none of them had nerve damage. (well, except Chirpsy ofc lol)

But to answer the thread, yes, I've had not two, not three, not even four, but six - S I X - of them extracted back in 2005. Recovery was quick and easy, and although it took about a week or so for my jaw to stop hurting (and it was really more discomfort than pain), I was back on my feet pretty much the day after surgery.
