Yeah I got that day read books with males but since I somehow thought harmony posted it the fact that day jokes about it and explained why she reads fewer books with male protagonists didn’t explain the comment because I thought it was another person. But now I get that it was a joke

It's aimed for them yeah, I started reading it in elementary school and I've read almost every single book in the main series + the extras it's the book series Wingfrost gained her username inspo from too so both Wing and I can attest to its greatness Trust me when I tell you though there are PLENTY of adult themes in the book that are hidden or obscured to make it suitable to younger audiences. This was Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye. I'm surprised I enjoyed it so much so this is definitely a contender!

It's a retelling of Jane Eyre but this time Jane is a murderer (Jane Eyre actually exists in this world) and the main character sees similarities between her and Jane Eyre except well...she murders people and I think there is the possibility of romance as well. I was not expecting it to be written in an older style but I don't mind it at all.

This on was Five Survive by Holly Jackson.

A story about a group of 6 friends in an RV for a road trip to hangout and party for their spring break. But eventually their RV ends up breaking down on the highway, in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception and things take a quick turn for the worst when they get trapped inside the RV by an anonymous person who clearly wants someone or all of them dead.

Not entirely captured by that first chapter (which is weird because her Good Girl Guide to Murder series is one of my favorites).

Oh so part of this shelf is books I started but realized I wasn't in the mood for so I put them back down. The book this landed on was Pride & Prejudice. I've previously gotten to like page 150 in this one and it is one that is SUPER promising for me-I just need to get into the right mood for it.

I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite series.

I read the first chapter fo Five Survive and already made a prediction and was like "If that's what happens I will throw this book in the trash."
