Soda shouldn't lower the spiciness.

Most spiciness is due to oils and other organic compounds coming out of the food. These won't dissolve in water, so soda won't help. They are soluble in other oils and fats, so drinking milk or eating yogurt or ice cream will help reduce the spiciness.

I'm going to say no because it has a similiar effect to if you drink water after eating anything spicy (it makes it worse). This why people say to drink milk after you eat spicy food.
