So my sister was in charge of making my dads birthday cake. And, as usual, she didn’t follow the recipe. From what my mom said though, she didn’t follow it big time. You’re supposed to heat honey, butter, and sugar and then do other stuff with eggs and eventually add it all to the flour but my sister straight up just added the honey to the flour right away. And the cake turned out delicious anyways. I’m impressed how she is so bad at following recipes but still comes out with an amazing product. It’s got to be a skill tbh

i think the things with baking especially those kinds of steps are just for the best consistently. i found they don't usually affect the overall quality of the food. so its usually fine
