ye but it's ice on paper on table and I put my finger on that. if it gets too cold I can just lift off for a sec.To make sure, are you saying you put the finger directly on the ice? If so, that’s not recommended (for any body part), generally when icing injuries it’s recommended that there’s some kind of a barrier, like a towel or plastic bag. Otherwise you do run the risk of potential frostbite.
If you never let your finger go numb at all maybe, if your finger ever does feel numb you may not know if it’s too cold.
