I usually go to IMDB and check the parents guide first. Make sure there's nothing I don't wanna see.

embarassingly sometimes when i see enough tiktoks from one movie and i like it i watch it

I usually check metacritic and maybe trailers. If it's well-known IP, like the Deadpool movie that dropped earlier this year, I usually just wing it, unless early previews are suggesting it's going to suck. I feel like you can always tell when a movie is going to be a stinker when the nicest praise in early previews is things like "the lighting was nice."

movies are my #1 interest so i follow the releases, watch trailers and then choose based on what interests me (well maybe not right now because trash tv shows from my country have taken over my life ). also before watching i check doesthedogdie if there are any animal deaths on screen and if they are, i'm skipping the movie even if i might be missing out on the best motion picture ever made

I generally watch movies only if I’m going on a flight, with a couple exceptions. For those I just filter for whatever category I want and read the description, and usually that’s good enough.

If I can’t think of anything specific I want to watch, but I know I want to watch a movie, normally I’ll start looking through my watchlist. Or I’ll pick an actor I love and see which of their movies that I haven’t seen.

I consume very little new American media per year.

ie the last 2 movies i went out to see were Mission impossible 79 or what ever it was and john wick 4.
