Sorry to hear that :( I guess it is good in a way that you don't feel affected by it

Being pretty, or hawt, hansom, good looking etc takes effort. Even if you have the genetics for it! I don't think I'd want to put in that work. It's partially laziness but it's also, I simply have better things to do. My goal for looks is 1. Not to smell bad. 2. Not to look stupid. I've stopped caring beyond that. I haven't given up, I just understand I have different priories.

I've never conformed to beauty standards so in that sense I will always be considered ugly. Just because I've never conformed, however, doesn't mean that I don't want to fit in with everyone else. Although .... I've realized this year that I will never actually fit in so trying to conform to those standards will only do more harm to me than good.

I don't use IG/FB for these reasons mainly, because if I keep staring at beautiful people it will only make me look at myself with harsh criticisms. That's also part of the reason why I have a hard time stanning girl groups - the feeling of being inferior is not one I want to experience.

okay so i never keep up to date with beauty standards so i just looked this up, and for the american beauty standards they are white, blue-eyed, thin, and young...i'm white, green eyed, not thin....sorta in the middle, and young.....i'm not sure how this affects your beauty.....i've been looked at weird by people at school for how i look, dress etc...so i find that the beauty standards are kinda stupid bc people judge you bc you don't look how everybody else thinks you should look.....i never follow up with fashion trends either which sorta gives a little backlash towards me ;-;
i've tried at one point to try and look 'normal' but ended up getting more looks, so i went back to how i normally look/dress (i only did it for a day though....i changed my mind on that real quick T^T) i just think it's all kinda pointless.....like my friend was talking to be abt this topic a few weeks ago and she mentioned that what a lot of boys want in girls is big in the chest and big in the bottom but skinny everywhere else, which is impossible to get without surgery.....it's kinda sad that some boys think that way....

I've been told that I'm pretty my whole life There’s privileges that come with it, but then there’s also pressure/desire to want keep those privileges. I feel this pressure to keep up with my appearance. I use to worry about if I'm loved for my looks or for who i am. Another thing is I'm so scared of wondering if my partner will still love me if my looks fade because I have seen that happen.

I dont care about it. its not like my face or body would magically change overnight just with putting on makeup or tons of creams.
