How many copies of (1) album do/would you own? (1 Viewer)

One day I saw a picture of someone who had 50 copies of an album, each version, just sitting in their room.

I totally get it if you're doing some type of giveaway, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. Maybe they wanted the photocards -- but what do you do with copies of the same album, after retrieving the cards?

EDIT: Different versions and repackages are fine, they're just one copy right? Just imagine someone with... Love Yourself: Tear. 200 copies because that album has four versions.

I have all 8 versions of SuperMs mini but photo book wise they’re all different

i would say I would own all versions of an album if I like it enough but I wouldn't get copies of the same album same version

At most I'd get two different versions of an album and that's it. I wouldn't get the same version twice

I usually get every version of an album. Twice and BP are the only ones I collect that do multiple versions and that's usually 2-3 copies
Most I have rn is: Girl's Day Love Album (group version + all 4 member versions) and BP's album which is 4 ver.
One day I'd like to get SNSD's I got a Boy all 10 versions but that's hella expensive just for 1

i don't own kpop albums but if i did i'd only buy one version. if i wanted photocards so bad then i'd print them by myself

lol i have about 24- 30 of Bloom iz , oneric diary and one realer. ( there are 12 members and i like em all gahhhhh) color iz and heartiz i have less i was trying to restrain.. only 12, 14. I do have 8 signed but )

RV i have 10- 15 of the non jewel cases starting with red summer. The LE really get ya there.

Most other groups i only have 1 of each version after say 2016..
some i have a bit more because of buying thru mnet for signed albums.

Now as to why folks will have 1-200+

Fan signs. if you wanted to get into a top tier boy group album numbers fan sign it will take 1-200 easy. or just insane luck. Those people who are at every fan sign bought 100's of albums. Call that NCT's BTS, EXO, Twice, BP , 17 maybe some others. izone those guys were buying at least 100 i saw sever with 2-500. you wanna see the artists its expensive. Really really expensive.

mid tiers take less i made it into lovelyz with 7 but it was close. Cherry bullet only took 3.

Just one, I have so many albums I want to collect that it makes no sense getting more than one same album

The only album I have multiple versions of is Siren:Call by A.C.E, 3 of them.
They are all different but the reason I bought all 3 because the photoshoots where just chef's kiss

Just 1 I don't think I'd even buy different versions and would rather just pick my favourite unless there's some set bonus

I own three copies of some albums because they're either in radically different packaging or a different format; if he ever drops another album, I hope he releases vinyl.

i wouldnt mind owning different versions of the same album since the photobook and such is entirely different. in fact, im a collector so it'd be nice actually. but multiple copies of the same version? no thanks

I used to collect before K-pop, but now it's all on my Apple Music library. lol so one copy of one version - that's it.
