How many members does a group need to have, for them to compensate 3 members missing? (5 Viewers)

I thought about this when LSFM had to cancel their concert, as 3 members got sadly sick I think not even die hard fans would have wanted them to perform with only 2 members.. so I was wondering, how big does a group need to be, for it to be acceptable to still perform?

Thinking about my faves, IVE would only be left with 3 members.. that still seems to little, Twice on the other hand would be left with 6 members, even if would hurt all the fans hearts, I think it would still be preferable to them not performing at all.

So what would be your limit?

When voting imagine it was your favorite group and there is no replacement date, so the concert is just canceld and you get your money back.

I said 7 jbc you'd still have a good amount of members for a K-pop group. Aespa and Blackpink have four members, so I think a former septet-turned-quartet could pull it off. Just two of them could do the rapping, two for the vocals, and all dance or something like that.

I think 8. If over half the members are there they can probably have members either cover others or the parts where no one’s singing/rapping won’t be as noticeable unless the line distribution is really bad. But while 4 there 3 not have over half there it just seems a bit too little.

What if the people sick are the 3 rappers/2 rappers one vocal and the remaining are all vocalists? A quartet could pull it off if they were specifically chosen to be that convenient split but not all members are necessarily all rounders and can swap that easily. I do still think 7 could possibly do it, though 8 is where I picked.

Honestly, I think Nine is perfect.
Because if the groups had six, seven, or eight, they would feel half empty if three members were out of commission.

I think for most groups rappers would be the easiest to replace, as they usually do not have too many lines

In most cases a group has more vocals than rappers though. And if all the rappers are gone can there be someone to realistically cover them? I do agree if all main and lead vocals were gone it would be in most cases harder than all rappers gone but it’s also less likely to happen imo because there’s usually more.

It can lead to some funny moments at least when other members have to cover rappers

I think the mix may be more important than the number.

Cherry bullet with 7 down from 10 was hard even though they kept the main vocal.dnace and rap ppl.

Billie with 5 out of 7 is right on the edge.

They debut with 10 members.
Then after the second cb 3 members ( Mirae, Kokoro, LinLin) 2 minors from out of country and the leader started missing events.
Eventually they were gone. ( the 2 younger girls are now on survival programs in native country, and Mirae was in another group ( that i think has already crashed...)

Another big group is WJSN og 12 then 13 after pd 101 , then back to 10 now smaller.
Loosing all 3 Chinese members didnt kill the shows ( and that is easier to explain ) but it still was a bit off.

You as a twice stan saw events/concerts with 8.
Snsd did some events/concerts ie kcons as 8 (members out for acting) and some with 7. not sure i ever saw a 6 for a concert like event.

The hard thing is actually canceling the show is almost as painful as watching a group without members

lets say i went to Korea again for a red velvet show but Wendy/Seulgi (pick any 2 these are main/main so ouch) were out i think seeing just the 3 trying to do it would hurt as much as losing the 4k i spent on the trip.
