I guess games such as those without a definitive end - yeah it's just when you get bored lol
the obviously appeal for something like D2 (and the like) is the loot mechanics which is technically never ending

Taste! It's the first one I played of the Persona series and it's the same one that made me become a fan. I played it the first time on the PSP and have been buying and playing all newer ones since. I bought the 5th one it's premium edition back in I think 2016 whenever it's release date was, then on the Switch I bought it again since they released Royal which came with more content and an extra character. I only still need to finish the 4th one on Steam since I bought that one for PC but I think I'll eventually buy it for the Switch too at one point lol.

Now to be on topic with the title lol, I think Final Fantasy X is a game I can replay over and over. I use to make it an anual routine during summer break, to just play it from start to finish back in the school days. The OST and the whole vibe makes me nostalgic and soft. Plus it was such a beautiful game too

More precise: I didn't stop playing it since I started it 5 years ago. I just took breaks.

Technically, this game doesn't end because it's completely open-world. There are tasks but you can also just try to survive on a map as long as you want. If you get bored, randomly generate a new map. Or replay the map and use one of the many mods that change the gameplay significantly. You can play online but I rarely use this option.

It depends on how hard the game was, if a game took a while to complete, I would likely wait a year or two before playing it again. Most of my games are open-world or like Marvel Rivals where it player vs player based

well i have 15k hours on civ 6, civ 4 is big numbers and civ 2 both before steam so who knows.
replayed many of my sega games after i beat em .
Id still play roller coaster tycoon if it wasn't 4 computers ago.
