all the stuff aside it feels weird for them to call a 15 year old "the first woman" to achieve something when she's still a child. which is also why i hope that the adults in her coaching team are held responsible for this, i only started watching figure skating events on tv to see if they ever play any of my favourite songs in their programs (sound dumb but actually sometimes they do lol) but recently i've come across an article about the russian coach, eteri or whatever her name is, who this girl trains under and she's apparently known for her abusive behaviours and having skaters she's a coach for retire at a very young age. this is absolutely tragic and should not be happening to literal children.

yeah, stuff like not allowing the girls to drink or eat (even water) on competition days so that their weight remains light and constant weight checks
I think it’s telling that her students start losing their edge at around 18 or try to leave then, and that she’s never successfully trained a male skater
kamila should not be held responsible when she had so many adults around her: even if she wanted to dope, those adults are complicit in aiding her
both the roc and us have way too much sway in the isu but I hope that actual punishment is enacted on the adults in the russian team
also the timing of this is so funny when they were throwing a hissy fit a few days ago about su/han cheating in pairs when they regained their wr
