I use "yikes" all the time because my friend has influenced me. My friend isn't into K-pop though.
And we both say "yikes" like:

"yiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkeeessss"

I only use it in certain contexts.
Like when something is really bad.
.....Like Somi's debut stage outfits. "YIIIIIIIIIKKKEEESSSS"

Or when ish hits the fan.
