so one day, imagine it goes like this

you two are just kinda standing around together, and you start to talk about idk what you're gonna do after work, and then you can mention something about liking to listen to music, and if he's normal, he'd be like "oh what type" and then boom, you start talking about music, and then either he'd naturally offer his favorite type, or you could ask, and from there you can move onto other subjects

but even asking "what u do after work" sounds so out of the blue

put yourself out there, making friends is easy if you take the first leap. chances are he doesn't know how to approach you either, and seeing you talk to him first would relive him of pressure, and like instant noodles, instant friends!

if he ignores you or says something like "nothing" if you ask about plans after work that's not on me you just have to put in more effort to get him to open up- never give up on someone. keep trying to talk to them and one day they'll either be annoyed/flattered enough to say something back to you if ignoring you is not working out for them
