The whole concept is weird. What are they protecting them from? Two men or women kissing? Oh how lewd.... Finding out that different sexualities exists? Not like they aren't going to find out their own. LGBTQ+ isn't anymore sexual or inappropriate than straight stuff.

I'm guessing it's based on the idea that minors seeing homosexual content could influence their sexuality which sounds ridiculous in itself but I am pretty sure if anything it's the other way around and homosexual people are more influenced by heterosexual content.
