I'm not saying trust the company - I'm literally saying don't but at least understand why it's doing what it's doing...
besides there's nothing that you nor I nor anyone here can do anything about it - it is what it is...

that's not for me to judge since I don't know how gfriend would have panned out if they did not disband - neither can you - what I do know is that people in hybe considered the issue and made a judgment based on that which resulted in disbanding - you cannot prove it's a bad decision since no one knows what would have happened if gfriend didn't disband - that's total speculation - maybe they could have done really well - maybe not we will never know

maybe hybe bought source not because of gfriend but because of the other trainees in source? ie those that went on to form LSFM? again I dunno I merely speculating

and that's my point we are both speculating...and unless you are more knowledgeable have one of the biggest kpop companies and have additional information that hybe doesn't - the only people that know are those within hybe who made the decision and all other things being equal hybe would know more about it than you and I...

Source Music did not have any of the Le Sserafim members as far as I'm aware because they were actually planning to debut a boy group which had members on a Produce show that Hybe made them drop when the merge happened because of TXT having just debuted so all the girls picked up were during the merger.

of course not - what is any "real" argument but for the limited knowledge that we have? we have no financial data, sales predictions, contract negotiation details etc etc - unless one of us works for hybe and has access to that information everything is our opinion based on what we think and believe

Yeah Nuest got treated pretty questionably by pledis pre produce. Post produce they were treated better, probably better than after the merger with HYBE.

but every company puts limits on limits no? it's not limited to kpop
sure there's a stain but how does that stain affect hybe? sure gfriend fans might be upset and it's understandable I would be be too but it's a business decision no?

whether gfriend would have returned a sufficient profit is not up to you or me - it's source and ultimately hybe's decision and that's my point - as fans of kpop groups not merely gfriend or nuest or whatever we have to understand why a company does what it does even if we disagree with the decision to do it...

again I'm sorry for nuest fans but I'm sure hybe had it's reasons and those reasons probably meant nuest wasn't earning a sufficient return...

Eh kind of. They‘ve made mistakes with Nu’est and other artists. But for Nuests sake, I’d 100% take Pledis 2017+ over HYBE. HYBE basically got Nuest and were like “what do we do with this? Idk man just toss them.” From what others have said Gfriend were similar I think.

well i am a crazy IZ*one fan and i really liked yunjin and enchae is cute as hell , but there is no way i am staning ssera because of gfreind.
And i have yet to listen to NJ and prob never will.

And i would rather see Hybe than teh cf that is the Kakao deal.

that's fine mate - it's your choice - you can stan or not stan whatever group you want - for whatever reason you want

Oh I’m not saying Pledis is a great company, they really suck. I’m just talking about Nuest here for the most part, the Gfriend was a less educated comment, I agree, but I just said that that’s the impression I’ve gotten, which very well could be wrong. How is 3 album style releases plus other commercial like releases kinda disbanded? If they were releasing songs very rarely maybe but they weren’t.

Not sure if HYBE left them in the dark since I don't know how much HYBE have control over Pledis . . . ehhhhh
honesty I don't really care or even mind HYBE since they haven't did something that I was like super pissed out or angry about, besides Trainee A disbanding and the changes with Rhyme Hive lol.

Sure, that’s fine, not everyone has to care about Nuests situation when it doesn’t affect them. But it doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect anyone and that it’s made up problems.
