they got some hate esp. on Korea side because MHJ was ranting that LSF debuted before Newjeans. And Newjeans were painted as Hybe's stepdaughters and LSF were seen more as privileged group.

Illit got more hate than LSF though because of copycat accusations.
they all got some level of hate
but then again it's kpop
if it's not this situation it's something else

I've always said
the silent majority is often drowned out by the vocal minority

social media is an echo chamber of negativity

This was so long after the chocella and encore deal that it should be pretty easy to differentiate between them .
to me that was like the catalyst and how it started then other people just started to pile in
it's almost like they had that issue and then certain people just wanted to kick them when they were down

I am not on anyone's side but i think Source are making a fool of themselves.
They rather spend money on a ridiculous lawsuit that they most likely will loose than on vocal training the girls 🤦‍♀️
That is only making people hating more on LSF. The way to shut up the haters is if in their next comeback it will be visible some vocal improvements but i guess source dont care as long as they can play HYBE dumb zombie stans
the question is can they though?
LSFM are one of my fav groups and certain members are average to below average at best at singing
Sakura is my fav from within LSFM and yes we know she didn't really have training during her HKT/AKB days but she most certainly and improved a lot during pd48 and izone and she also improved a lot pre-LSFM but if she hasn't risen to that level yet already - the question is will she ever (or could she?)

haters will always hate - if not this issue then something else

you got to have tough skin to be a kpop idol lol

I don't think proving that Le Sserafim got hate is the hard part. The hard part is proving that it had a material negative impact, considering Easy was a very successful comeback and continued to be very successful even after MHJ's comments.
I always thought SK defamation laws were weird in that you just had to prove some semblance of being impacted negativity by it whether or not the alleged defamatory statement is true or otherwise

Yes, I have heard that, but I would assume the damages you receive still has to be based on actual losses that you can prove, right?
It might be why they're suing for such a small amount despite seemingly having clear evidence that MHJ lied about the company.

maybe the mere fact MHJ gets a defamation suit against her is more pressure on her to do certain other things????

also could be that any conviction will kill a morals clause in MJH deal and tehy can fire her for free.

I think people can always improve if they put their heart on it.
Ofc that i dont think they will become like Mamamoo or Ailee on vocal level but they need to learn how to control their breathing and have a stable voice while dancing.
For that i think kpop companies need to have their trainees/idols on treadmills and any other kind of extensive physical exercise while singing.
They also need to stop starving the idols bc they need good stamina to handle all the hard choreographies, especially on tours.

Idols should always be singing live when they rehearse. They should also release dance practices where they sing 100% live bc the more playback groups do, the more people think that is the way they sing live (so they are not only setting impossible goals but also fake goals)
Like, this should be the standard:

K-pop is in a weird place where people expect perfection at all times, which has led to music shows dominated by 100% lip-synced performances. And people are okay with it! They only throw their toys out of the pram when the backtrack disappears completely.

The only way we get consistently great vocal performances is if idols at least sing over the back track at all times and that that practice in under the pressure of a live audience. But the downside of that is that it exposes them to hate that they wouldn't otherwise get, because lip-syncing is so normalised.

I've long been a choreography hater, so I'm biased here, but like, the excessively difficult and fast choreo that started around the 4th gen really doesn't help things either.

hmmm....I disagree somewhat
not just related to singing but some people are just not good at certain things not matter how hard one tries
for example I've had friends in HS who just couldn't understand algebra no matter how hard they tried - teachers, parents, tutors, friends - they just couldn't understand
and it may be that certain idols will never be good singers hell they might just be average/below average singers no matter how much they practice with or without a professional teacher

yes they should but at the end of the day being thin and pretty gets one more fans than otherwise (although the alternative hasn't really been tested yet lol)

what's standard is different from person to person - there is no such thing as "standard"
we must always remember an idol is an idol not a singer - they dance, act, sing, rap, mc etc etc
they are a jack of all trades and sometimes one trait exceeds the other
if their singing or dancing isn't up to one's standard they one doesn't have to consume such content - that's perfectly reasonable
different strokes for different folks

yep but folks have been pushing for 'harder' choro for so long . they never put together the pieces that . few can sing well when working that hard physically.

ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Denies Allegations Of Stealing NewJeans Members From Source Music

ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin has denied allegations of stealing the NewJeans members from Source Music.

On July 23, Dispatch released a lengthy article alleging that Min Hee Jin consulted with a shaman and decided to push back NewJeans’ debut date.

According to the reports, Min Hee Jin requested to expand her business territory regarding the Source Music trainees—who are now the NewJeans members—a total of at least four times, and HYBE’s chairman Bang Si Hyuk and Source Music’s CEO So Sung Jin accepted the proposal. In this process, Min Hee Jin reportedly delayed NewJeans’ debut in order to take the lead regarding their debut.

In response to the reports, CEO Min Hee Jin relayed to YTN that the report is “false information” and that she will be taking legal action.

The full article is crazy.

MHJ had the same role she had in SM, branding the group. Source was ready to go, but MHJ kept delaying on her side, not actually submitting any branding documents for more than EIGHT MONTHS. Then she asked to have her own label instead and Bang and the HYBE CEO just said yes??????

The only reasonable explanation is that her shaman is the real deal.
