It's just the fact that reddit mods are just regular people thinking they are entitled to banning whoever. You weren't wrong, air freshener is not exactly edible and could actually if consumed

that sucks, as someone who loves browsing certain subs (like r/tipofmytongue) i'd be devastated if i got banned from reddit as a whole i guess sometimes it's better to keep quiet and let people do dumb shit in peace

Reddit sucks at as a platform, if you must mingle with strangers online this is probably one of the safest sites to do so. Both content and user wise
