I know I'm pretty social on KS, but yall don't really know my personal life. So I wanted to share a little bit more.

Since September of 2022, I've been in a relationship with someone I've known for a while. He's a little older, so our paths didn't cross that much when we were children. He even moved to a whole nother state when I was in high school.

Sometime after college I was out and about in the city, and I recognized him. He knew he recognized me from somewhere - I reminded him, and we caught up that day. Eventually, he found me on IG and we followed each other.

DMs were full of memes and funny videos for some time. Then a sprinkle of personal chats, us getting to know each other again - or more than we ever had in the past. We were friends for a good 3 years.
And it was surprising, the day he asked me out. I mean, it always was. I don't think about relationships, so not to be cliche but I "wasn't looking." Still... I couldn't deny how much I loved our conversations. We really got each other.
Okay, fine, I did like him back. So I agreed.

I've had so much fun with this man these past 5 years. During lockdown we got creative and started sending each other letters like in the old days. We've gone through happiness, grief, and continue to work on ourselves. Plain and simple, I love him so much.

I've been busy all weekend doing events stuff. But for Easter he took me out for lunch. And afterwards we walked in a park nearby. He found a quiet, private area surrounded by trees, and got down on one knee.

And I said yes.

It was an emotional Sunday for us both. But I feel happy, and like I'm in a dream this morning. I'm more excited than I can type right now. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
So yeah. Just a small bit of personal news for you all.
