Idols stay as children for longer than "normal" people (1 Viewer)

I find that idols tend to stay childish and innocent for way longer than the avarage not an idol, especially the more popular idols and the ones from big companies.

I feel like it is probably because they miss out on a lot of the experiences other people have, like clubbing or going to school or hanging around with friends after school etc
Before debut their life is practice... After debut their life for a year at least if not more is the dorm and work.
They get everything they need delievered to them by managers and other staff.

what do you all think about this?

I mean, that's probably true to some extent but I don't really think it keeps them "innocent" per se, rather just holds them back from developing certain life skills. The innocence your referring to is probably more performative since the public and fans prefer idols with that sort of youthful, naive image.

Not really.
Some trainees attend school, have friends and go clubbing. A lot of idols have "life experience" before joining entertainment companies.
There's a lot of "normal" people who have less life experience because of controlling/abusive parents, or being overly sheltered etc.
The entertainment industry is dirty so I doubt they're "innocent".​

Maybe, but, I've always seen it as the opposite, in a way that they start learning strict work discipline and working for money at a very young age. Most people in my country only start working/becoming a responsible adult as 25+ year old or so...

Not really. They do all these things by hidding themselves. Even Apink went to clubbing even if it’s totally contradictory with their concept. Bomi explained how she did it in the past.

I am pretty sure that this innocent appareance is pretty fake for half of them.
