there are a few I side eye ngl, but apart from the criminals can't think of any kpop ones tbh
miyo is facing manslaughter allegations for one and really made me rethink her past relationships
the hwa twins for obvious reason too now that I think of it
obviously not on the same level but lyx is obnoxious about her fans' behaviour and her continuously shielding them is getting ridiculous considering how it's an industry standard in china to try and curb them

edit: chengxiao's handling of her falling into your smile fiasco made it really hard for me to appreciate her as much as I did in the past, but at the same time I kind of get her even if it was ultimately her responsibility for auditioning and accepting for a show based on a webnovel with such questionable ethics

basically fiys is based off a webnovel of the same name
but even before the drama started, the webnovel was known as highly problematic by the entire chinese gaming community (a quick search on baidu would've brought up the discourse it was that well known) because the author blatantly ripped off the personalities and events of real life gamers and mixed them together to string together a plot (ex. faker getting turned into some in game bully, the title being literally weixiao's old pre-competitive scene id, the two leads' relationship being a copy paste version of weixiao and su xiaoyan's relationship etc) + plagiarism claims from another author + the author trashing some competitive teams that she used to be a fan of and then turning them into the "bad guys" in fiys and responding poorly to people calling them out
so of course the drama adaptation already got a lot of flack from egamers and league fans in general for that reason the moment it got announced
what made things worse was that they kept promoting it like an egaming drama when you had mobile games being played on pcs, a 19 yo being hailed as a "gaming prodigy", players throwing games to get back with their ex, just a massive lack of understanding of the scene and disrespecting the profession that could've been circumvented had they marketed it as a romcom with a gaming background instead of a pure gaming drama tbh
also even more plagiarism claims, resulting in the official ldg weibo calling out how their logo got stolen lol
obviously the hate for cheng xiao was worse because a) she's a girl b) she had tried to curate a gamer girl persona prior to the drama c) she had auditioned and was happy for getting the role and d) she was arguably one of the weaker actors in the cast
so while I get that she would rightfully be over the moon landing a lead role through her own efforts alone, and would want to fight back against a perceived attack at that, but all those factors bundled up + retired and active professional gamers alike commenting on how it was a disgrace to their profession + her response to the initial backlash being a seeming reference to a line su xiaoyin, who the romance of fiys was based off of, wrote in her letter announcing her breakup with weixiao) just did not help her case for gaming fans, and that response just left me with a bad taste tbh, there were more graceful ways to handle that
but I do agree that both her fans and the gaming fans were going way too overboard with their fanwars, even if her fans were annoying with the whole "this is the best gaming drama and everyone who disagrees are haters and it gave a bigger platform for the gaming industry (??)" narrative
